A fibroid or more known as a uterine fibroid, is a non-cancerous tumor that begins from the Myometrium or a smooth layer and the connective tissues found in the uterus. There can be one in every four women that may have it. Fibroids are common and some women may even have it but without knowing since they can be too tiny to cause any symptoms. Normally the tumors are found during the middle and late reproductive years of a woman. Yet, if these tumors develop into a bigger size, it is known that fibroids cause infertility and is considered as part of the symptoms of infertility .
